For information and to apply for geared-to-income rental housing in Windsor, please visit WinHome. (WinHome does not provide emergency housing. However, staff can give you information about emergency hostels in Windsor.)

How do I apply?

Applications for WinHome may also be obtained from our office. Various information will be required depending on the type of unit required (rent geared-to-income or market). To verify eligibility for rent assistance, Winhome requires applicants to present social insurance cards, proof of household income and assets among other relevant information.

Winhome allows tenants to selected their preferred housing location from a number of development sites.

Due to the demand for rent geared-to-income housing, waiting times are difficult to predict and may range from 6 to 48 months. As turnover occurs, assistance is offered to individuals on our waiting list in order of their date of application. Despite the likelihood of a long wait, we urge you to apply, eventually applicants do move to the top of the list.
