For Immediate Release Ontario Supports Black Creek Pioneer Village [YORK WEST] Ontario is helping build its creative economy and enhance its quality of life by supporting an enterprising project led by the historical site of Black Creek Pioneer Village. The province is investing $40,000 in Black Creek Pioneer Village to help it establish a traditional working brewery, a number of food related events, and other new programming to attract new visitors and improve its financial sustainability. “Building our cultural sector is about making our economy more competitive and improving the quality of life for Ontarians. This investment in Black Creek Pioneer Village does both for our community, says MPP Mario Sergio” Funding is from the Cultural Strategic Investment Fund, which helps build a strong and stable cultural sector by funding projects that contribute to Ontario’s cultural development and achieve economic and creative growth. “Ontario is committed to ensuring programs and services that strengthen economic growth.
