Humber River Regional Hospital

Minister, during the past four years the government of Ontario has built or rebuilt over 100 new hospitals in Ontario. While this is good news for our health care system, these facilities require additional staff especially qualified doctors and new nurses.

I and my constituents, would like to know minister, since this affects the Humber River Regional; Hospital in my riding of York West; what is the government doing to see that our hospitals will have the adequate staff to facilitate the increase in demand for health care services?

Supplementary

Mr. Speaker, Recently the Health Minister made an announcement with respect to increased funding for hospitals. Humber River Regional Hospital in York West, received more than $2.6 Million. This increase in funding should bring visible and tangible Improvements in accessing our local hospitals.

I and my constituents would like to know what kind of improvements can we see with the recent infusion of some $700 million in new funding to our hospitals?
